Signal Has Manners
High signal is not just sharp. It is considerate. It respects the reader's time, attention, and dignity.
A lot of people think being high-signal means being loud, severe, or endlessly compressed.
Sometimes it does mean being direct. But real signal has manners.
It respects the reader's time. It respects the reader's intelligence. And strangely enough, it even respects the reader's dignity.
That means you do not just say something sharp. You say something worth carrying.
You do not dump complexity on people to prove you are smart. You metabolize it first. Then you hand them something usable.
Good writing does not merely transfer information. It performs an act of care.
